When you embrace a lie as truth and then act upon it, there are consequences. What is perhaps one of the most tragic examples seen, was reported in the past week.
Dr. Brytney Cobia from Alabama put out the following plea on Mon July 19, this past week …
“I’m admitting young healthy people to the hospital with very serious COVID infections. One of the last things they do before they’re intubated is beg me for the vaccine. I hold their hand and tell them that I’m sorry, but it’s too late,” she wrote.
“A few days later when I call time of death, I hug their family members and I tell them the best way to honor their loved one is to go get vaccinated and encourage everyone they know to do the same,” she posted.
“They cry. And they tell me they didn’t know. They thought it was a hoax. They thought it was political. They thought because they had a certain blood type or a certain skin color they wouldn’t get as sick. They thought it was ‘just the flu,’” Cobia wrote.
“But they were wrong. And they wish they could go back. But they can’t. So they thank me and they go get the vaccine. And I go back to my office, write their death note, and say a small prayer that this loss will save more lives,” she continued.

There is now a vaccine, and so what is happening is wholly preventable. Those promoting anti-vaccine conspiracies, such as Fox News, have a rapidly rising body count associated with their bizarre and unjustifiable stance.
Take for example megachurch members such as Stephen Harmon who has been blasting twitter with vaccine mockery and refused to take the vaccine. The latest update on him is that he died this past week of COVID. This is utterly tragic because his death at the age of 34 was wholly and completely preventable.
So what else has happened during this past week?
Below you will find a selection of truly bizarre claims and declarations. What follows comes with a hat-tip to my source, Right-Wing watch. They simply post the absurd silly claims without comment. The snarky commentary below is wholly mine.

Dave Hayes says that if the various election “audits” prove that Joe Biden is “an illegitimate president” and “the representative of a foreign government inserted into our political system,” then it is “the responsibility of the military to acknowledge this fact and remove the usurper from power.”
- Remind me again who the commander-in-chief of the military is.
COVID-19
Words of wisdom from Eric Metaxas: He claimed that “Asking ‘Are you vaccinated?’ is like asking ‘Are you menstruating?’ Some things are simply none of your business.”
- It’s more than a little bit odd for a fundamentalist to take this stance. These are the same folks who do not mind their own business on many other topics.
Clay Clark uncovers the Satanic roots of the coronavirus.
- To save you the bother of looking it up. His “thinking” here is that “corona” spells out 666.
- Fact Check: The Number of the Beast is 616 in early biblical manuscripts, it only became 666 in later revisions.
After announcing that she has COVID-19 and that her husband was hospitalized with COVID-19 pneumonia, Sandy Rios says she has not changed her opposition to vaccines.
- There is a subset of people who will die on this hill … literally
Right-Wing Broadcaster Stew Peters Again Says Dr. Fauci Should Be Executed
- Mr Peters thinks that the vaccine is a bio-weapon and that masks are a “a weird sexual fetish”. I really don’t even want to imagine what goes on in his bedroom.
Truly Bizarre
Bill Mitchell says that President Joe Biden is evil, a pedophile, a “Manchurian Candidate” controlled by China, and a complete idiot.
- I suspect that you can work out who is really the idiot here.
Rick Wiles Advocates Civil War to Put Down Biden’s ‘Communist Revolution’
- I’m truly convinced that he does not actually understand what the word “Communist” means.
- As a quick bit of background, Mr Wiles ticks most of the boxes – believes COVID is a Hoax, is an anti-vaccine advocate, is a virulent anti-Semite, a bigot, and of course a conspiracy theorist.
Kat Kerr is apparently a “commander” of the “Spirit Force” and even has the jacket to prove it.
- Kat is highly motivated to come up with some new bizarre claim each and every week. This one is the latest.
- She is indeed commander of literally hundreds of millions of angels, but only when her meds wear off.
Mike Lindell says he is now offering $5 million to any “cyber guys” who can disprove the validity of election data he’ll be presenting at his upcoming “cyber symposium.
- How exactly do you disprove something that has never actually been proven?
- Perhaps The Washington Post can collect. They rather robustly debunked his cyber claims not too long ago. Then again, I suspect they are still too busy laughing at Mr Lindell’s “evidence”
Pseudo Historian David Barton claims that he was designated a domestic terrorist by the Obama administration.
- Fact Check: No, he wasn’t … but I guess you could have worked that out. His revised US history is also all fiction.
- Least you wonder how “good” his grasp of constitutional law is, here is an example. This past week he asserted that, under the Second Amendment, there are to be no age limits placed on who can own a weapon. Given that Barton also insists that the Second Amendment also places no limits on what sorts of weapons private citizens can own, presumably that means that 5-year-olds are entitled to own tanks and fighter jets.
The False Profit$
The stars here are of course the religious grifters. To be wholly clear, most humans, regardless of their cultural belief or non-belief are decent. Some however deploy and leverage belief as a tool to manipulate and enrich themselves with. This section is very much dedicated to religious fraudsters …
US Senate Candidate and QAnon supporter Jackson Lahmeyer has secured the endorsement of Pastor Greg Locke.
- Jackson is the Same QAnon guy who has been accused by other QAnon advocates of being a child sex trafficking Satanist because he posted a picture of his daughter wearing red shoes.
- Meanwhile, this “endorsement” as a candidate by Pastor Greg Locke is akin to a restaurant being endorsed by Jeffrey Dahmer
Johnny Enlow reports that God has stopped revealing his plan to put former President Donald Trump back in office because he doesn’t want the enemy to hear about it: “It would literally mess up strategy of how the Lord is doing it.”
- Nobody will be hearing about it actually happening … ever … because it is not going to happen. That’s because there is no supernatural “strategy” in play.
- Johnny is simply tired of “predicting” dates that result in nothing actually happening.
Dave Hayes claims to have had two prophetic dreams that he believes signify that “[woke] ideology will be rejected by most people.”
- Reminder: This self-appointed prophet has been making prediction after prediction that then fails to happen. He has never once been right about anything … ever. He claims each time that he is speaking on behalf of God.
- Unlike this guy, Martin Luther King Jnr really did have a dream.
