The GOP Debate … what did they say and who won?

6a76f4a3-4ad2-4ae2-8a3b-c092e85586afOK, so there is plenty of coverage of the GOP candidate debate and so I need not cover it in too much detail except to perhaps add a few additional rather obvious observations. As a hint, the picture above more or less sums it all up.

So what did they actually say?

Every candidate more or less declared the following …

  • Obamacare will be repealed and I will repeal it far better then them
  • I hate Obama and Hillary far more than the other candidates do
  • I hate gay marriage with far stronger feelings that any of these other guys do
  • I really really am far more religious than any of these other guys
  • I will be booting out far more immigrants than any of these other guys
  • Now let me drop my pants and show you that mine is far bigger

So no real differences at all … oh wait no, perhaps Trump did establish that he is a far bigger idiot than any of the others.

Health Warning

RawStory advises to never play the GOP debate drinking game …

“You simply can’t drink every time one of these guys says something silly,” said Surgeon General Vivek Murthy during a Wednesday morning press conference. “We’ve got three candidates who are prone to gaffes — Jeb Bush, John Kasich and Scott Walker — and then a half-dozen obscure goofballs vying with Donald Trump for a little media attention. It’s just a formula for disaster.”

Indeed yes, most would soon have a very severe case of alcohol poisoning and liver failure.

Who Won?

Easy … the democrats did.

  1. Chris Petersen – A twentysomething man who enjoys talking about/learning about deep concepts and how they apply to our thinking and understanding of the universe. I am Deist. I believe the God theory makes the most sense of our universe when it comes to meaning and the question of "why" (or even why the question "why" exists) More specifically, I am a Christian because I believe it's the only faith that answers the human condition effectively and the person of Jesus continues to prove to be a good greater than my preconceived good every time. Feel free to ask/rant/debate on any post. I'm usually pretty good at getting to them, but if the volume of activity on the site increases (or I just grow weary of debate for a few days) I may not respond. Don't take it personally, I just need to manage my time and energy.

“I’m blessed to be here with so many good candidates. The Democrats are still looking for one.” – Marco Rubio

So true. You guys better get ready for at least 4 years of Trump ;)
